Golden Acorn Award is presented to a Sunset Elementary School volunteer in recognition of their dedication and service to our school and students. Since the beginning of this program, more than 54,000 Golden Acorn Awards have been presented to volunteers throughout Washington State. For each award given, a contribution in the name of the recipient(s) is given to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program. They will also receive a pin and a special certificate from the WSPTA. Their names are added to the Golden Acorn plaque on display at Sunset Elementary.
Outstanding Educator Nomination Form
The Outstanding Educator Award is presented to a Sunset Elementary School teacher, assistant, specialist, support staff, administrator or community member who has made significant contributions to their school community. For each award given, a contribution in the name of the recipient(s) is give n to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program. They will also receive a pin and a special certificate from the WSPTA. Their names are added to the Outstanding Educator plaque on display at Sunset Elementary.
